Basic Facts

The info graphics below describe basic processes of CO2 production, capture and storage. Simply put, the more carbon of CO2 can be stored in biomass, the better in terms of compensation. Plus: Faster compensation mechanisms are better for a rapidly changing climate than slow ones. Rewetting marshes is both an efficient and (comparably) fast process. Note that graphics such as these can not be 100% scientifically accurate - we took a few shortcuts. Many of the actual processes are much more complex. Also, sizes and lengths do not accurately represent real world relations.
